Letting the interviewer do the talking may help
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 01, 2012 16:54 PM

Letting the interviewer do the talking may help In stressful situations, such as job interviews, some individuals may start to talk more than they should due to nerves. As this can become a major problem for jobseekers, Brazen Careerist, a lifestyle and career blog, recently recommended that these individuals do what they can to talk less during interviews.

According to the news source, people love to talk about themselves. As a result, it may be better to let an interviewer speak the most. If they are allowed to talk about how great their company is, they could form a more favorable impression of the candidate they are interviewing. This is due to the fact that even though they are not speaking about themselves, what they are saying is indirectly related to them.

If jobseekers continue to have trouble controlling their mouth during interviews, they may want to follow the advice Amy Lindgren, owner of Prototype Career Service, offered through The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Lindgren recommended that jobseekers structure their answers to questions so that they have a beginning, middle and end.

In the event that jobseekers just love to talk, taking a career test may help them locate a position in which communication plays a key role.
