Job candidates should highlight soft skills during interviews Job seekers may have done their research, taken a career test and come to the conclusion that they are the perfect fit for a specific profession. However, if these individuals' personalities leave a lot to be desired, employers may choose to hire other candidates. To prevent this from occurring, job seekers should make sure they possess soft skills that are sure to impress.

According to U.S. News & World Report, if individuals are going to bring an attitude to a job interview, they should make sure it is a positive one. Furthermore, they should find ways to highlight how their positive disposition has helped motivate workers at past jobs.

Interviews provide opportunities for job seekers to showcase their communication skills. Before candidates sit for an interview, the news source suggests they practice their responses to some of the questions they may be asked.

While highlighting themselves, job seekers should also find ways to showcase their teamwork abilities, according to Monster.com. As potential employers will likely want examples as to how they worked well with others, candidates will want to prepare a few.
