This can prove problematic for job seekers on their way to an interview in some of their best clothes. After all, one splash from a passing car could leave the perfect outfit covered in slush and salt from the road.

Those who wish to avoid this type of scenario may leave home decked out in clunky boots, a heavy coat and a few layers of clothes. While all this apparel may keep them warm, it does not make for the best interview outfit. Although job seekers may not realize it right away, bad weather can provide an opportunity for them to show off a little personality during an interview. In a post for The Career Chronicles on TheLadders'' website, talent specialist Jessica Scotland wrote that hats, gloves and scarves allow people to provide a glimpse of their personality. However, job candidates just need to be careful not to go overboard.
