Firm believers in the power of astrology may start their day reading their horoscope, while skeptics cannot comprehend how the sun or moon could ever provide insight into their personality. This did not stop police in the Canadian city of Chatham-Kent from ranking all of the people arrested in 2011 according to their Zodiac sign, the National Post reported.

In 2011, a total of 1,986 individuals were arrested, with 203 of them, or 10 percent, being Aries, the news source stated. To arrive at the rankings, police applied an algorithm to all arrestees’ dates of birth. Despite the results, Constable Michael Pearce, a police spokesman, does not read too much into these findings.

However, Georgia Nicols, the National Post’s horoscope writer, can see how Aries may be more likely to commit crimes.

"Aries is the sign of the warrior," Nicols told the news outlet. "Aries rules the military. Aries jump in head first and love adventure. A lot of people in the newsroom are Aries."

According to the Huffington Post, Aries, whose sign is that of the ram, also have a need for excitement and are fearless. This sign’s motto is said to be "ready, fire, aim."
