Students at Texas high school take IQ tests to raise money for PSATs

Children are typically to have their IQ measured because analysts are intrigued to find out exactly what students can handle in their academia. As a result, some school districts ask their students to take kids IQ tests in order to test their knowledge.

This year, students at Wichita Falls High School (WFHS) in Texas will be given a cognitive abilities test that will demonstrate their IQ, according to the Times Record News. For sophomores, this will be the third test they have to take this year.

The tests will cost $18 a student, which will help raise money to help more pupils take the PSATs, which many academic insiders suggest is a good practice before the SATs and can sometimes determine where a child goes to college.

While this test is being used to raise funds, kids IQ tests can be beneficial to children across the country. According to the National Association of Gifted Children, it may be a good idea for parents across the country to have their children take an IQ tests to determine if they should be in a different program.
