Mensa welcomes 3-year-old member

Mensa has a new member, and he is only 3 years old. Based on all that Sherwyn Sarabi has accomplished, it is clear as to why he was offered entry into the high IQ society.

According to The Daily Mail, Sherwyn already knows how to count to 200 and name every country in the world. At six months, the gifted U.K. resident began to read. By 20 months, Sherwyn was speaking in full sentences.

"His general knowledge is amazing," Amanda Sarabi, Sherwyn''s mother, told the news source. "He knows about everything. It''s not like talking to a 3-year-old."

Although he is only 3 years old, Sherwyn already has an IQ of 136, which means he is in the top 1 percent of the world''s population. In order to join Mensa, individuals'' IQ must be in the top 2 percent of the population, according to Mensa International''s website.

While Sherwyn may seem young, Mensans have ranged in age from the age of 2 to over 100. As a result, parents who suspect their young child could be very bright should not let age prevent them from having him or her take an IQ test for kids.
