The American Association for Gifted Children states that youths who show signs of advanced language proficiency, possess a unique learning style and ask many questions may be considered gifted children.

One student who clearly stands out from others his age is Aaron Kotomarti, who, at 17 years of age, will soon be the proud owner of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas, CBS Dallas/Fort Worth reported.

The bachelor’s will not be Kotomarti’s first degree, as he already holds an associate’s. In the years ahead, the teenager plans to earn his master’s, as well as another bachelor’s degree, the news source stated. Even though Kotomarti continues to take home new credentials, he admits the world of higher education is far from easy.

"It’s just fun," Kotomarti told the news outlet. "I’m sure most think it’s hard. But it’s just fun to me."

The gifted student is so committed to his studies that one of his professors at the university had no idea how old he actually was until he had to miss an evening work session due to his lack of a driver’s license.

If parents feel their children have what it takes to become early college graduates like Kotomarti, they may want to have them take an IQ test for kids and find out.
