The public concept of entertainers usually tends to focus on physical beauty. People have a certain perception about actors and singers, and often see nothing but a pretty face or a powerful voice. While there might be some precedent for the belief that all entertainers are ignoramuses, a few stars have displayed high levels of intelligence. If your child loves the entertainment industry but also enjoys learning as much as possible, here are some celebrities that might inspire them to study hard and get high IQ scores: 

Shakira
The Colombian-born Lebanese singer, producer and social activist has earned numerous awards and recognition, including a Grammy for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album and Best Latin Pop Performance, for her contributions to Latin music and American pop. Shakira is best known for her song "Hips Don't Lie," which she wrote in her late 20s, but few people realize that she started writing poetry at age 4 and had completed entire musical compositions at age 8. According to Mensa International, Shakira has an IQ of 140. 

Quentin Tarantino
Hollywood directors have a reputation for eccentric behavior, and Quentin Tarantino is no exception. The director of "True Romance," "Pulp Fiction" and "Django Unchained," however, displayed an above average intelligence even in high school, which he never finished. He has a reported IQ of 160.

Natalie Portman
The leading lady in "Black Swan" and Marvel's "Thor" doesn't hide her intelligence. As a young adult, Portman studied several languages and enrolled at Harvard University, earning her bachelor's degree in psychology and eventually publishing two research papers in scientific journals. She continued her education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she took graduate courses. While Portman's actual IQ score remains undisclosed, her accomplishments leave little doubt that she would score well above the average individual.

Jodie Foster
Jodie Foster is another actress who has demonstrated her intelligence both on and off the big screen. She graduated as valedictorian from Lycee Francais de Los Angeles and later enrolled in classes at Yale University. She graduated at the top of her class, earning her bachelor's degree in literature. The star of "Silence of the Lambs," "Contact," "Panic Room" and "Taxi Driver" has a reported IQ of 132.

Dolph Lundgren
An intimidating presence on the silver screen but a gentle giant in real life, Dolph Lundgren's towering physique belies the fact that he also possesses a great intelligence. Lundgren attended the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, and even earned the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to MIT. His IQ score is 160.
