At 2 years of age, most children are still trying to learn one language. Anthony Popa Urria, who is 2 years and 9 months, has not only mastered English, but Spanish and a little Romanian as well, the Calgary Herald reported. In addition, the gifted youth has become the youngest Canadian to join Mensa.

It is not uncommon for small children to receive an offer to join the high IQ society. While Mensa International’s website states that most members are between the ages of 20 and 60, past Mensans have been as young as 2.

Anthony's IQ of 154 places him within the top 2 percent of the population, which is required for entry into Mensa. There are times when he seems like any other rambunctious 2-year-old, according to the news source. On other occasions, Anthony recites the alphabet backwards, lists the planets in the solar system or counts to 1,000.

If parents feel their children possess advanced intelligence or abilities, they may want to have them take an IQ test for kids and find out just how cognitively advanced they actually are.
