Children who suffer from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) often have a hard time grasping certain concepts in their academic curriculum because they are not able to pay attention to what's going on. However, a new study has found that there could be a computer program that will help relieve the symptoms of ADHD.According to researchers from the Ohio State University, researchers discovered that students with ADHD who completed a working memory training program were able to relieve some of the symptoms of their disease.Researchers are hopeful that although it may not be an overall cure, the program could be able to help students who have ADHD curb the disease's effects."This program really seemed to make a difference for many of the children with ADHD," said Steven Beck, co-author of the study and an associate professor of psychology at Ohio State University. "It is not going to replace medication, but it could be a useful complementary therapy."The researchers noted that students enjoyed the program at first because they thought it was a computer game, not realizing they were also being challenged.
