Many individuals take a personality test in order to find the right job. However, there has also been a recent trend of using these assessments in order to pick the perfect pet.Author and dog expert Stanley Coren recently published a personality test in his new book Why We Love the Dogs We Do, according to the Vancouver Sun. In order to develop this assessment, Coren interviewed 6,149 people about their canines and whether or not they were happy with their breed selection.Using this information, he created a personality test that assesses whether dog owners are introverts or extroverts, trusting or controlling, warm or cool and dominant or not dominant. These traits are then used to measure which breeds of dogs will be right for test takers. However, Coren is not the only animal lover that suggests that potential owners take a personality test before choosing a pet. Time Magazine reports that over 150 animal shelters across the country now use these assessments in order to match people with the perfect cat or dog.
