Jobs have been hard to come by for some over the past few years, as many hiring managers are cautious to take on new workers in times of economic uncertainty. As a result of this err on the side of caution, many potential employers are finding new ways to screen potential candidates to determine if they would be a good fit for the company. Some companies are choosing to give job seekers integrity tests to determine their personality and how honest they are, according to South Carolina's CBS affiliate, WSPA. The news provider reports that while some companies warn their applicants ahead of time that the test is to determine whether or not they're lying, other businesses choose to catch job seekers off guard if they plan on not telling the truth."It comes back to bite you," Sallie Sims, who took an integrity test for a potential job, told the news provider. "Everything comes back to bite you if you're not honestly truthful with it. It will come back to get you."The Edward Lowe Foundation reports that integrity tests could help companies sort out those who could be a problem down the road.
