Some hiring managers choose to give their applicants personality tests in order to determine whether or not someone's morals really fit the position. The Sumner County Board of Education, located in Gallatin, Tennessee, is thinking about using personality tests to help get a better idea of the kinds of candidates applying for its vacant director of schools position, according to the Tennessean.Through the board's discussions, Dr. Gary Kaufman, a human resources consultant, presented various kinds of personality tests that could be used to determine a good fit for the position. People appear to be on board with the decision tool. The three tests recommended will cost $200 each, and board members, if they decide to use this method, will wait until the choices have been narrowed down before testing the finalists.A personality test measures a variety of characteristics that can measure one's strengths and how they could play into the position at hand.
