Students and teachers on Crete recently welcomed the Greek Nikos Lygeros to their island to visit local schools and answer questions from the children, according to the Greek Reporter. Lygeros is currently regarded as the smartest man in the world, as he has the highest IQ test score.Currently, Lygeros is a computer and mathematics lecturer, as well as a research fellow, at the University of Lyon in France. During his studies, Lygeros has done more than simply earn high IQ scores, as he has also created his own IQ test, the news outlet reports. On his exam, test takers' intellectual abilities are measured based on their knowledge in the subjects of science, philosophy, literature and mathematics.Lygeros is also a member of several societies for people with exceptionally high IQ scores, including the French branch of Mensa, according to the news source.According to Mensa's official website, individuals who would like to join the organization must score in the upper 2 percent in the general population on an approved IQ test.
