While some people may believe the stereotype that attractive people have lower IQs, a new study is suggesting that physical appearance may actually be linked to a higher intelligence.A new study by a researcher from the London School of Economics and Political Science used a British study and American data to assert the notion that attractive people were more intelligent, according to UPI.Combining both data from the American and British studies, researcher Satoshi Kanazawa found that attractive men scored an average of 13.6 points higher on an IQ test while attractive women scored 11.4 points above their more plain counterparts."In the samples, physical attractiveness is significantly positively associated with general intelligence, both with and without controls for social class, body size and health. The association between physical attractiveness and general intelligence is also stronger among men than among women," Kanazawa told the Indian Express.Additionally, the study suggests that the intelligence genes could be passed down from the attractive individual to their child.
