There are people who on one day can make very smart decisions, and then cause huge blunders only a week later. Their confusing actions can make some question their intelligence. Rather than speculating, the individuals in question can take an IQ test and get a better sense of the way in which their brain works.
LiveScience reported that IQ tests are designed to examine one's memory, spatial ability, the speed at which they process information and more.
"In the last hundred years of studying intelligence, there have been pretty constant results that several different intelligence factors, like these, relate to how smart people are," Richard Haier, professor emeritus in the School of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine, told the news source.
Haier added that while a generation ago, people argued over the definition of intelligence, today, it is real and can be measured. The news outlet stated that on most IQ tests, 95 percent of people score between 70 and 130.
In addition to intelligence, LiveStrong reports that IQ assessments can provide a good sense of a a test taker's overall behavior.
