Today, there are many different web browsers people can use to access the internet. While many individuals do not give their browsers much thought, a new study by AptiQuant Psychometric Consulting Company shows that the way in which people access the internet may be a good predictor of what their IQ test scores are.The study indicates that individuals who use the web browser Opera tend to have the highest IQ test scores, with results reaching over 120. According to its website, Opera was launched in Norway in 1994 and was marketed as one of the fastest, most technologically advanced browsers available.Additionally, the study shows that individuals who had the lowest IQ test scores, with results around 80, used Internet Explorer Version 6. This browser was launched in 2001 along with Windows XP, Microsoft's website reports. Since this tool was created, several updated versions have been released.The authors of the report stated that their study may indicate that people who have lower IQ test scores may hesitate to try upgraded technology.
