Once individuals are finished reviewing the results of their career test, their next goal may be to land a job as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, no matter how hard they try, this is typically not something that will happen overnight. While an internship may not seem as appealing as a full-time position, interns can sometimes become regular employees.
If interns wish to go from no pay to a full-time salary, they may want to follow some of the advice Brazen Life, a lifestyle and career blog, provided in a recent Business Insider article. For instance, it is always important for individuals to treat their internship just like a real job. This means no slacking off and always asking for more responsibilities when work is slow. In addition, interns should always show up on time.
According to CBS MoneyWatch, interns who are really passionate about their work can show it by staying late. While other workers do the bare minimum and go home at 5 p.m., interns who are still in the office will quickly separate themselves from everybody else.
Even if an internship does not turn into a full-time position, it presents great opportunities for networking. Whether an internship lasts for a few weeks or a couple of months, individuals should be focused on meeting as many people as they possibly can, according to Business Insider. It is also a good idea to have business cards made so that interns have something to share.
