Students should try to have a set career path as soon as possible so they can create a curriculum that focuses on all of the things they should know about their desired industry.The University of Akron is trying to push this process by offering its students career aptitude tests so they can make a decision as to what kind of program they should enroll in, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer."I think you'd be surprised at how many students go to a university and have neither an idea of what they want to do nor do they necessarily have a sense for the careers they have an aptitude for," Provost Mike Sherman told the news provider.A number of schools offer career aptitude tests as a way to help students discover where their strengths lie.Career aptitude tests ask a variety of personal questions that are able to match a person's characteristics to a job that they could be well suited for based on their qualifications and personality.
