Recently, six nonprofit institutions received donations from the Indian River Impact 100 program. Each gift was valued between $100,000 and $160,000, TC Palm reports.The Hibiscus Children's Center was one of these organizations that received funding. Staff members said that the facility will use its money to launch a life skills program for local teenagers between the ages of 15 and 17.The program will be located at Hibiscus Children's Village and will strive to lead youths towards eventually becoming independent. In order to do so, the center will provide services like mentoring, seminars, problem-solving workshops and decision-making programs. Students who come to this facility in the future will also be able to take a career test, the news outlet reports.According to the book Your Guide to College Success, teens who take career tests at a facility like the Hibiscus Children's Center should consider taking multiple exams as opposed to just one. Since there are a variety of tests designed to help youths find an ideal career, what might work for one student may not work for another.
