As the market continues to improve, there are more job opportunities for those who are just entering the workforce. Although there have been relatively low instances of hiring college students, it appears that this year will get a significant boost. The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) found that employers are going to be hiring 21 percent more college graduates than they did last year. This was up from 13.5 percent of what was predicted last August. Additionally, the report found that employers plan to hire 7 percent more interns during this school year than they did last year. Approximately 93 percent of companies will be taking on interns, with an average pay of $16.68 an hour for undergraduate and $24.21 for graduate students. According to Recruiting Trends, the top paid majors for this year's graduating class include computer science, electrical and communications, mechanical, chemical and computer engineering. Students who are currently on the job hunt should be sure to take a career aptitude test in order to narrow down their search.
